Description This script will perform an Online Backup of one or more oracle databases. Simply specify the Oracle SID(s) in the dblist parameter within the script and ensure the database(s) are in archive log mode, and schedule the script to run using cron or similar scheduler. The script will also need configuring to specify your working and temporary directory paths, this can be performed by anyone familar with unix korn shell. The script generates a detailed log file, and can be configured to Email an administrator in the event of failure.
